About Me

World is beautiful and I want to see it all ... As I traveled I shared the stories with my parents and siblings this blog. This is my SCRAPBOOK ... Chronicles of my journey around the world  ... I am neither a writer nor an entertainer. I write in simple words what I saw, what I experienced, what I interpreted and what I absorbed. About food, culture, wildlife, birds and so on are the topics! The opinions are strictly my own based on my experience.

I started a 365 Series to share my experiences around the world with a photograph ... You know?! A picture is worth a thousand words :) I picked out a bunch of interesting photos which were not part of the travelogues and started off ...

Recently (2011) I relocated to my Motherland- India. Then on I backpacked in India On-and-Off. The solo-backpacking trips in India have changed my perspective of life! It is really a life changing experience! In my first trip, which was a prep trip, covered parts of Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Assam. I admit here that I was naive. I got cheated by travel agents, stayed in overpriced hotels, got sick and lost a lot of weight. In my second trip, which I consider a moderate budget and proper backpacking trip, was everything about Madhya Pradesh, The Heart of Incredible India they say! I would like to visit many more places all around India. I would be sharing my stories in Backpacking in India Series.

In my not so recent posts you will get to read a lot about USA, especially the sunny California where I lived for a long time. I had fun camping and hiking in the national parks of California, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Hawaii and Alaska. I loved photographing landscapes and waterfalls during my stay in USA. The experience in Italy during my short visit of 11 days was amazing!
