Just after one visit Manali has become one of my favorite destinations. The natural beauty of this place calls me ... come back! and I am definitely going back whenever possible this year.In the picture are two guys in their late-teens or may be, early twenties, playing traditional music for arti in Sri Rama temple, Vasisht.
During my travel I keep clicking pictures. Of people, of food, of wildlife, of religion, of everyday life and so on ... when I ask people for permission to shoot they smile and pose like celebrities. That makes me wonder ... tourists are not only the source of income, they make locals feel like celebrities. And tourists feel like they are professional photographers!! ha ha ... that is the reason people travel ... for the joy of it!

I absolutely LOVED Manali when I visited- would love to see more pics- I'm sure it has changed so much over the years, or than maybe not.

@Anjuli: I do not know about the change because it was my first visit, there might be some in terms of tourist inflow.
True, what you said about locals and tourists. Manali is an awesome tourist destination...Try a lonely evening in Barog sometime...
