232. California Wildflower

Last year I went on a wildflower hike in Sunol. The whole area was green and the rolling hills were painted with the colors of wildflowers. California poppies, purple lupine, and many more in the wildflower list. One of the tiny weeds was the filaree.

The Braodleaf Filaree (Erodium Botrys) is a small weedy herb found all over the world, native to Eurasia, North America and introduced weed in Australia, New Zealand.
