The imposing Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur is abode of art and architecture. The intricately carved walls and windows, the art work in the palaces inside make this place a must visit.The mirror work, the gold painting are exquisite. There are some parts of the palace where one can find simple wall paintings or murals.
In the picture is the mural of Ardhanareeshwara (half man-half woman), that is the unified image of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. Interesting thing is, the painting can be concealed behind the doors.
