Uvas Falls : At last I found it ...

7th March 2009

PICTURES.

At last there were two weeks of rain ... and then some sunshine. In these two weeks I was hoping for more rain ... more rain ... I was waiting to go photograph some of the nearby waterfalls and so did I visit Uvas Canyon County Park. Just 35 miles from home ... easily accessible and 6 small yet beautiful waterfalls and those wonderful creeks. Ahhh ... my all time favorite park ! There is an entrance fee of $6 here.

As I neared the park I could hear the loud roar of the creeks. The entrance of the park is near to both Uvas and Swanson creeks. That could give me a hint on how the waterfalls could be. Wow ... that music is so elating one can jump out of joy :) In this trip my main aim was to find that Uvas Falls ... in the last visit I knew it was there but, didn't know where ? ... this time I knew in which direction it is ... I had to find it !!

When I reached the park I saw a bunch of seniors going for the pleasant hike. There was a Father-son pair hiking too. I saw them at first cascade I stopped to shoot. The play was going on ... the kid may be 2 to 3 years old, was very excited and pointing to something with his small dainty forefinger. I watched him while I waited them to clear the scene. He waived his chubby palm at me with a happy smile as he took small steps towards the trail ...

As I hiked along the creek I felt like stopping at every step but, then I did stop at every cascade. It was lovely ... After having a look at all other waterfalls in the loop I started to find the Uvas Falls ... the trail was quite lonely. Most of the people who visit this park hardly know that there is another beautiful falls around. I was almost alone on this trail ... very peaceful ... then I found it ... the falls ... which then joins the swanson creek ... beautiful ...
