Bugs are always annoying ... aren't they ? Some of them are so ugly ... but some appear in pictures more beautifully than supermodels :) Like, Praying Mantis, honey bees sitting on the flowers, and then ... LADYBUGS !!!
In fact, I drove 40 miles to Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve and went for a seven miles hike to take pictures of these Ladybugs ... I even saw the emails threads running in Bayareahiking groups ... I took few pictures ... this is not the best one but interesting :) Another one here ...

what trails do u go on to see the ladybugs?

I went on Purisima Creek trail where there are many trees and shade. Look for these bugs on small fallen tree branches or some dogwood trees. You can see the bugs in any park in Marine county.
Not that is some serious bug hunting with camera!
I photographed a colorful bug (and posted it on my blog too) on the Diwali day. It went well with the overall colors of the festival.
